Acne Scarring

The unfortunate aftermath of prior acne breakouts, scarring can take on multiple forms, even in the same patient. Scars may be raised, depressed or pitted and may demonstrate post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (darkening of the skin) or erythema (prolonged redness). Treatments may involve multiple modalities to fully address the specific characteristics of the scars.
